May 20 and 21 2014, “Big Data Decision and Compliance Forum” was held by Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Data Platform, Tencent in Shenzhen. Scholars from nearly ten universities such as Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, University of Hongkong, Central University of Finance and Economics and practical experts from Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Data Platform, Tencent, Jun He Law Offices, Price water house coopers and so on participated in the forum. Associated Professor Li Ji from Business School, CUFE was invited.

   Professor Li gave a lecture entitled “Location based service choice model”, which studied the influence of consumers’ location on their choices of restaurants under rapid development of the mobile Internet. Based on check-in data in Sina Weibo and user rating data in Dianping.com, the research made a model of consumers’ restaurant choices and a good imitative effect is achieved. This research is a supplement to studies in this field and had a guiding significance for companies’ marking promotion.

   During the meeting, Professor Li exchanged ideas on the application of big data in different fields with scholars from universities and industry delegates.
