内容简介：Psychological studies concentrate on the phenomenology of love, and they mostly show what we feel when we are in love. Beyond this, we know little about the fundamental variables underlying the formation of love and the nature of this feeling. In different words, it is hard to answer a question as to why love exists. One hypothesis is that love can be an adaptation in biological meaning, i.e., it can increase human reproductive success by acting on natural and sexual selection. To test this assumption, we conducted a study among Hadza(n=146) - an evolutionarily relevant population of hunter-gatherers from Tanzania. Their lifestyle is somehow similar to the life of our ancestors, and therefore their life conditions are generally much better suited to investigate the presented hypothesis. In this presentation, we will show how love defined by three constructs proposed by Stenberg (1986) (intimacy, passion and commitment)correlates with the number of children, reproductive success and mortality of children among Hadza.
